Health Care Reform and Latinos Create a Buzz

A very important and recent topic that is upon us is the discussion revolving the new Health Care Reform Bill that President Barack Obama has introduced. The new bill will have a huge impact on millions of Americans, but it seems the people that could be mostly affected are the Latinos. Many questions are coming up from the Latin population, but it seems very few answers are being given. Some major concerns would be things like how will the new Bill address the needs of Hispanics? Or who will be responsible for illegal immigrants that don’t have medical coverage?

These are all major concerns of the U.S. Latin people. Personally it appears to me that people in charge of this new bill have tunnel vision and are only taking a look at a present day issue and not taking in to consideration what the future may have in store. Statistics show that Latinos are one of the fastest growing minority in the United States, which can only mean at some point, years down the road, another reform will be needed.
